New York Democratic Polls 2016: Clinton Holds Lead

Bernie Sanders comes into New York with a winning streak of eight of the last nine nominating events, but Hillary Clinton has enjoyed a lead in the majority of early New York polls.

Sanders has argued early polls have understated his support in earlier primaries and caucuses. The Sanders campaign had hoped last week’s debate would help close Clinton’s lead in New York, but the latest polls show Clinton with a double digit lead.

There are 247 delegates at stake in the New York primary and the delegates are divided proportionally based on the results. Clinton enters Tuesday’s primary with a lead of 229 pledged delegates.

Here’s a look at the latest Democratic polls

Emerson

The Emerson poll was conducted April 15-17. It has a margin of error of 4.6 percentage points.

CBS News/YouGov

The CBS News/YouGov poll was conducted April 13-15. It has a margin of error of 4.4 percentage points.

NBC 4 NY/WSJ/Marist

The NBC 4 NY/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll was conducted April 10-13. It has a margin of error of 4.0 percentage points.

Siena

The Siena poll was conducted April 6-11. It has a margin of error of 4.5 percentage point.

Quinnipiac

The Quinnipiac poll was conducted April 6-11. It has a margin of error of 3.3 percentage points.

NBC/WSJ/Marist

The NBC/WSJ/Marist poll was conducted April 6-10. It has a margin of error of 4.2 percentage points.

PPP

The PPP poll was conducted April 7-10. It has a margin of error of 3.8 percentage points.
