The chances of winning the Mega Millions jackpot is about 1 in 258 million, similar to the chances of winning the Powerball jackpot. Each time someone doesn’t win the whole thing, the jackpot grows for the next drawing.
How do you know if you won the Mega Millions jackpot? You’ll need to match five white balls in any order along with the Mega Ball.
