Moments ago outside Trump rally in Richmond, VA:
At least five protesters have been arrested outside of Donald Trump’s rally in Richmond, Virginia.
The chaotic scene was captured in a video posted on Twitter by BuzzFeed’s Ellie Hall; in it, police tell protesters to back up as the Trump opponents stand their ground and shout.
BuzzFeed later reported that five individuals were arrested for disorderly conduct.
Some protesters tried to keep the demonstrations peaceful, as was the case with one person who went around passing out flowers. But another more aggressive group yelled expletives at cops while carrying a sign that read “Anti-Fascism is Self Defense.”
