LIVE STREAM: Joe Biden Speech at the Center for New American Security

Vice President Joe Biden is set to rebuke Donald Trump during a speech this afternoon at the Center for New American Security’s annual conference.

Biden will speak in Washington D.C. beginning at 1:30 p.m. Eastern. The address can be viewed in the embedded YouTube player via the official White House YouTube channel.

According to excerpts of the speech released to reporters this morning, Biden is expected to argue that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is dangerous and will lead to an increase in anti-American sentiments around the world.

“Adopting the tactics of our enemies — using torture, threatening to kill innocent family members, indiscriminately bombing civilian populations—not only violates our values, it’s deeply damaging to our security,” Biden will say, according to ABC News. “Wielding the politics of fear and intolerance — like proposals to ban Muslims from entering the United States or slandering entire religious communities as complicit in terrorism — calls into question America’s status as the greatest democracy in the history of the world.”

Biden will also channel Senator Elizabeth Warren by referring to Trump as an insecure bully.

This will be the vice president’s first major address about the 2016 presidential election, although based on the excerpts given to reporters, he will not actually mention Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton by name.
