Texas Floods: Videos from San Antonio, Houston & Austin

Texas has been hit on all sides by severe flooding this week, from north Texas to Houston to central Texas and beyond. Lives have been tragically lost and some people may still be missing. Through all the tragedy, rescue workers have shined as heroes as they put their own lives on the line to help people survive the dangerous floodwaters.

The video above shows dramatic flood waters in Granbury, Texas, near Stroud Creek Estates, as an SUV nearly escapes being carried away in the rushing waters.

In the video below, a dog that was left chained on the front porch as a flood forced residents to flee. He could have drowned as the flood waters rose, but a news crew and local sheriff spotted him and saved him. The poor dog must have been terrified, but he’s safe now:

The following video isn’t from the latest round of flooding, it’s from April. But it shows how quickly things can turn bad if you try to cross in dangerously high water:

On May 28, Karin Baker Williams posted this frightening photo of her eighth grade son’s school bus ride home through flooded waters:

The school district has said the incident is being investigated.
