RIP Faraaz Hossain: Photos of the U.S. College Student Killed in Bangladesh

Faraaz Hossain posted a photo on Facebook with Tarishi Jain. She is one of the other 2 students from American universities killed at his side in Bangladesh. He wrote with the picture, "Last trip with this kid :(
I think I'm gonna miss you a litttttlee bit next year." The other student attending an American university who was killed in Bangladesh is Abinta Kabir, of Miami. She was also one of his Facebook friends. News reports say the Islamic militants stormed the bakery/cafe in a diplomatic neighborhood in Bangladesh, armed with guns, sharp instruments and explosives. They took hostages, although some employees and customers managed to escape by jumping from a cafe roof. Faraaz Hossain and the other two students from American universities were not among those who escaped. Two police officers were also killed in the ensuing gunfire. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack, saying its fighters were specifically targeting members of "Crusader countries." The militants ordered people in the cafe to quote the Koran, and when they could not, they were hacked to death, news reports say. Hossain was a Dhaka native who graduated from Oxford College at the university earlier this year and was planning to enter business school in the fall. Emory University in Atlanta confirmed he was a student there, along with Kabir (Jain attended the University of California-Berkeley). The school's president released a statement that said in part, "The Emory community mourns this tragic and senseless loss of two members of our university family. Our thoughts and prayers go out on behalf of Faraaz and Abinta and their families and friends for strength and peace at this unspeakably sad time." (Facebook/Faraaz Hossain)
