A Bernie supporter, Amanda Kruel, tried to attend a DNC fundraiser after "throwing shade on DWS" via Twitter, being an elected delegate, and a staunch Bernie supporter. She was thoroughly vetted and almost denied because of her support for Bernie. The DNC finance department asked them to vet her trip to Tennessee. "I lean no," Alan Reed wrote. "She also donated $50 to the event, which I can refund if she is denied." The event was only expecting 40 guests, someone noted. A staffer wrote: "Let's loop Luis in too. My first reaction is no, but on further thought, Kruel could turn his back on us and say she was denied attendance by the big bad establishment." Luis Miranda, Communications Director for the DNC then wrote: "If most others vet it's hard to see how telling her she can't come and refunding her $50 doesn't turn into a story. It may not be worth the trouble to deny her, and it might be what she's looking for, any excuse to rail against us." Scott Comer then responded: "She bought another ticket late last night. We could collect phones at the door. That way they couldn't film and post any stunts they try to pull." You can read above or in the WikiLeaks email at this link.
