Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will hold a rally in Ashburn, Virginia this morning, his third event of the week amid several controversies.
The event will be held at Briar Woods High School beginning at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. It can be streamed in the embedded YouTube player via Right Side Broadcasting.
This rally will take place as a feud between Trump and the parents of a U.S. veteran continues. After Trump attacked the parents of Humayun Khan, who appeared at the Democratic National Convention last week, many within Trump’s own party condemned him for the remarks including John McCain.
“In recent days, Donald Trump disparaged a fallen soldier’s parents,” McCain said. “He has suggested that the likes of their son should not be allowed in the United States — to say nothing of entering its service. I cannot emphasize enough how deeply I disagree with Mr. Trump’s statement. I hope Americans understand that the remarks do not represent the views of our Republican Party, its officers, or candidates.”
At a rally on Monday evening, Donald Trump also called his opponent, Hillary Clinton, “the devil.”
Trump is headed to Virginia today following a visit to Ohio, another battleground state. Recent Virginia polls have shown Clinton with a lead over Trump, although it’s still a close race, with one poll from Hampton University showing the candidates tied 39 percent to 39 percent.
