Both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live are missing one of their female superstars, with Paige and Eva Marie having been suspended in August. So when might we expect them to return?

Luckily for fans, neither performer was suspended for very long, and both of them can return in just a few more weeks. Paige was given a 30-day suspension effective August 18th, meaning she will be allowed to wrestle in WWE shows again starting on September 17th. Meanwhile, Eva Marie was given a 30-day suspension effective August 19th, and so she will be eligible to return by September 18th.

For Paige, fans could anticipate a return either on the next Raw after her suspension is up, which would be on September 19th, or perhaps at the Clash of Champions pay-per-view on September 25th. For Eva Marie, the next SmackDown after her suspension ends is the September 20th show. This is the likeliest opportunity for her to return, as there isn’t another SmackDown pay-per-view until October 9th. Marie will be missing Backlash, which takes place on September 11th.

But while Eva Marie will almost certainly return towards the end of September, it’s actually a bit unclear if Paige will come back as soon as her 30 days are up. Although her suspension ends on the 17th, Paige was already taking some time off during the summer due to a back/neck injury, and there was reportedly some concern that she had suffered nerve damage.

“Regarding Paige, there may be some nerve damage regarding her back and shoulder issues,” The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported at the time. “I was told her neck issue is similar to what a lot of the guys have had that had serious problems where the problem has led to weakness in the right arm which was the first stage for some major issues with a lot of the guys.”

Paige and Eva Marie were both suspended in August for violating the WWE’s wellness policy. Although the specifics of Paige’s suspension are unknown, Eva Marie says that she was punished because she did not hand in certain paperwork on time.

“I am disappointed that this suspension has occurred, yet understand and respect that WWE upholds their Wellness Policy to the letter and won’t compromise on its integrity,” she said.

Alberto Del Rio was suspended alongside Paige, but unlike his real-life girlfriend, Del Rio will reportedly not be returning at all, taking advantage of a clause in his contract that allowed his to leave the WWE in September.
