The Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine is scheduled to be announced early this morning, and you can watch it right here online, in the YouTube video above. According to the Nobel Foundation, the earliest that the prize will be announced will be at 11:30 a.m. local time in Sweden. This translates to approximately 5:30 a.m. Eastern. The second possibility is Gordon Freeman, Tasuku Honjo, and Arlene Sharpe for advancing cancer immunotherapy.

The third group is Michael N. Hall, David M. Sabatini, and Stuart L. Schreiber for the “growth regulator target of Rapamycin … and the mechanistic Target of Rapamycin.”
