Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay's daughter was killed in a shootout at the age of 15. Trinity Gay, 15, the daughter of Tyson Gay, was pronounced dead in Kentucky after being shot in a restaurant parking lot at around 4 a.m. She was rushed to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital where she was pronounced dead. In brief comments to Lex 18, Tyson Gay said, "She didn’t make it. I’m so confused. She was just here last week for fall break. It’s so crazy. I have no idea what happened."
Kentucky.com reports that the gunfire happened was between a gray Dodge Charger and an unidentified sports car. The website adds that two people from the Dodge Charger have been taken in for questioning. Officers are still looking for the second car. A spokeswoman for the Lexington police, Brenna Angel, told Kentucky.com that Trinity was not in either of the cars that were shooting.
