Alan Thicke’s Kids: The Family He Left Behind

TMZ reports that TV icon Alan Thicke has died at age 69. The actor, best known for his role as Jason Seaver on the series Growing Pains, was playing hockey with his son, Carter, when he suffered a heart attack, according to TMZ. He was transported to St. Joseph's Medical Center around noon, where he was pronounced dead, reports the outlet. Thicke is survived by his three sons: two with his first wife, Brennan, 41, Robin, 39, and one with his second wife, Carter. He is also the grandfather to two boys, Tyler and Julian Fuego. On Tuesday evening, The Los Angeles Times spoke with Robin, who said his father was "the greatest man I ever met." The singer also confirmed that Alan was playing hockey with his son when he suffered the heart attack, and added on that one of the last things he said to Carter was a compliment on a nice shot. Robin said, "The good thing was that he was beloved and he had closure. I saw him a few days ago and told him how much I loved and respected him.” Robin Thicke is an award-winning songwriter and musician, famous for his 2013 hit single, "Blurred Lines". His mother, and Alan's ex-wife, is American actress Gloria Loring, from Days of Our Lives. Loring is also mother to Brennan Thicke, who previously worked as a voice actor, and now owns a medical marijuana dispensary. Click through our gallery to view photos of Alan Thicke and his sons. Looks like he was a smoker. Now the heart attack at 69 makes sense. Sonny boy (with cigarette in his hand) better realize right quick what his genetics have in store for him.
