Fox News Channel anchor Shannon Bream is one of the top candidates to replace Megyn Kelly, who left to join NBC News. Bream has been at Fox News since 2007 and is currently an anchor for America's News Headquarters on Sundays and covers the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.

According to New York Magazine, the other candidates to anchor Kelly's 9 p.m. timeslot are Trish Regan, Sandra Smith and Martha MacCallum.

Bream first became a lawyer, earning a Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law after earning a degree at Jerry Falwell's Liberty University. However, in 2000, she decided to change careers and become a journalist. She worked at ABC's affiliate in Tampa and CBS' Charlotte affiliate before being hired by NBC's Washington, D.C. affiliate. It was there that she gained the attention of Fox News and was hired in 2007. (Getty)
