On January 21, 2017, the Women’s March on Washington in DC begins, with thousands in attendance of the big event. For those attending or just interested in the schedule of events, we have collected all the information for you below.
PRE-EVENT TIMES: At 8 a.m. ET, activities including video images will begin at the main stage. At 9 a.m. pre-rally speakers, PSAs, and performers will appear.
RALLY TIME: The rally runs from 10 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. ET.
MARCH TIME: Marching starts immediately following the rally at 1:15 p.m. ET
LOCATION: The starting point for the event is at the intersection of Independence Avenue and SW Third Street, Washington DC, near the National Museum of the American Indian, as well as the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, which is located at 600 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20560.
ROUTE: The Washington Post reports that participants will march along the National Mall to The Ellipse, near the Washington Monument. Marchers will head west on Independence Avenue SW to 14th Street SW and then turn north onto 14th Street SW. They will head then to Constitution Avenue NW, heading west on Constitution Avenue NW to 17th Street NW. The marchers will end their journey close to the Ellipse and Washington Monument.
