Women's March in Serbia
People hold a banner which translates as "Women's march against fascism" during a rally in solidarity with the Women's March taking place in Washington and many other cities on January 21, 2017 in Belgrade, one day after the inauguration of the US President.
The march began as a protest to Trump but now encompasses a list of progressive demands. The organizers published a platform
before the march. The main principle is "Women's Rights are Human Rights and Human Rights are Women's Rights." The platform includes a long list of guiding principles, which include: healthy lives free of violence, justice for police brutality, ending racial profiling, dismantle gender and racial inequality in the criminal justice system, reproductive freedom, gender justice, LGBTQUIA rights are human right, an economy powered by transparency and accountability, equal pay for equal work, all care work is work and should be supported, a living minimum wage, indigenous women's right to access and control land and resources, support of women with disabilities, all-inclusive equal rights amendment, immigrant and refugee rights, right to clean air, water, and enjoyment of public lands, and more.
