There is some discrepancy on when Trump knew about Flynn's phone call. Many on Trump's team initially denied that the call had anything to do with the sanctions. Vice President Mike Pence told CBS News, “They did not discuss anything having to do with the United States’ decision to expel diplomats or impose censure against Russia." White House adviser Kellyanne Conway had also told MSNBC earlier today that Trump had his full confidence in Flynn.
