It’s Cinco de Mayo 2017 and you may be looking to celebrate with some guacamole, margaritas or festive music. In addition to it being Cinco de Mayo, today is also National Totally Chipotle Day.
In the past, Chipotle has sometimes featured specials in honor of Cinco de Mayo, but we haven’t heard of any deals going on this year, so you’ll have to check with your local franchise to see if anything different is available. Most likely, your local Chipotle will feature their normal menu. In the meantime, we have a special treat for you Chipotle fans. A couple years ago, People reported the recipe of Chipotle’s guacamole.
The ingredients in Chipotle’s Guacamole include:
2 ripe Hass avocados
2 tsp. lime juice
2 tbsp. chopped cilantro
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
1/2 jalapeño, including seeds, finely chopped
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
Click here for the instructions on how to make the recipe.
Current items on the regular Chipotle menu include:
Crispy Corn Tacos
Soft Corn Tacos
Soft Flour Tacos
RICE, BEANS & VEGGIES
Cilantro-Lime Brown Rice or White Rice
Mild Fresh Tomato Salsa
Hot Tomatillo Red-Chili Salsa
Medium-Hot Tomatillo Green-Chili Salsa
Medium Roasted Chili-Corn Salsa
If you are having a Cinco de Mayo fiesta, Chipotle does have a catering service, which you can check out by clicking here.
On Cinco de Mayo, there the holiday called National Totally Chipotle Day, isn’t necessarily dedicated to the chain restaurant. According to National Day Calendar, the holiday is actually to pay tribute to the chipotle pepper, which is a smoked, dried jalapeno pepper.
