Sally Yates Testimony: Twitter Complains About Distracting Photographer

During former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates‘ testimony before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism, Twitter users following along were surprised by a photographer pointing a camera right at the audience. The photographer sneaked in between Yates and James Clapper, trying to get pictures of the Senators grilling them.

Yates is testifying about serious matters, like Michael Flynn and Russia’s role in influencing the 2016 presidential election. But the photographer’s appearance during the earlier portion of the testimony distracted plenty of people on Twitter.

Quite a few Twitter users thought that the photographer would be great for a future Saturday Night Live skit about the hearing.

Another person was annoyed that this photographer was “interrupting history.”
