WATCH: Eric Trump Claims Democrats Are ‘Not Even People’

President Trump’s son Eric went on Fox on Tuesday to discuss his father’s term and the controversy that has been surrounding it as of late. During the interview, Eric claimed that the Democratic party “are not even people” to him after they attempt to obstruct his father’s agenda. Watch the video clip above.

“I’ve never seen hatred like this,” he tells Fox News, “To me, they’re not even people. It’s so, so sad. Morality’s just gone, morals have flown out the window and we deserve so much better than this as a country.” The younger Trump added to his controversial viewpoint: “You see the Democratic Party, they’re imploding. They’re imploding. They became obstructionists because they have no message of their own.”

Later on in the interview, Eric criticized the leadership of the Democratic National Committee, and though he never directly named him, Committee Chairman Tom Perez: “You see the head of the DNC, who is a total whack job. There’s no leadership there… They lost the [2016 presidential] election that they should have won because they spent seven times the amount of money that my father spent.”

Democrats did not take kindly to Eric Trump’s remarks, and claimed that his rhetoric– bemoaning the lack of morality while pegging the other party as subhuman– left much to be desired.

Also worth noting are the controversies surrounding the Donald J. Trump Foundation, a charity which, according to a Forbes magazine article on Tuesday, took money intended for terminally ill children and funneled it back into the Trump family. Read an excerpt from the article below:

“Additionally, the Donald J. Trump Foundation, which has come under previous scrutiny for self-dealing and advancing the interests of its namesake rather than those of charity, apparently used the Eric Trump Foundation to funnel $100,000 in donations into revenue for the Trump Organization.

And while donors to the Eric Trump Foundation were told their money was going to help sick kids, more than $500,000 was re-donated to other charities, many of which were connected to Trump family members or interests, including at least four groups that subsequently paid to hold golf tournaments at Trump courses.”

Washington Post reporter David Fahrenthold added to this story when he tweeted that Eric Trump has told him a different story regarding the Trump Foundation. “I just saw that Forbes story saying that your charity actually did pay your dad’s company,” he said, “Were you not telling me the truth? If you are standing by your story, I’d like to talk today, to understand how Forbes got it wrong.” Read the full tweet below.
