Seahawks 2021 Season Preview

Seattle finished with a 12-4 mark last year. It was the 9th year in a row Wilson and head coach Pete Carroll led the team to a winning record, and they’re looking for year No. 10 this season.

The Seahawks were 8th in the league in scoring last year, averaging 28.7 points a game, and Wilson says the goal this year is to stay aggressive.

“The thing for us is executing all of the details, being aggressive. And that means every opportunity — whether it’s the run or pass game — having that aggressive mentality, every time we touch the ball, we’re scoring,” Wilson said in camp. “That sense, that tempo, and that aggression going after the defense is really key.”

On defense, the Seahawks allowed 23.2 points a game on defense, which was 15th in the NFL. Carlos Dunlap and Jamal Adams return to anchor a defense that gave up just 16 points a game over the final eight games of last season. For Seattle, though, it’s about holding themselves to the standard they’ve set.

“A lot of people have other hobbies,” Wilson added. “People have hobbies like video games or whatever it may be. I have a few hobbies. Number one is winning.”

Here’s a look at the Seahawks’ 2021 schedule. All times are Eastern Standard:
