Labor Day weekend is here and you may be in need of some last-minute recipes for your celebratory get-togethers. Some of these dishes take more time, others are easy, and then there's the gourmet recipes. Whichever you choose, they'll be great and creative additions to your bbq menu. Let's get started with this one ...

Grilled BBQ Chicken Salad

Just because you may not want a heavy meal, doesn't mean you can't get into the barbecuing spirit. Try a light dish instead of the usual hot dogs, ribs, wings and burgers. This grilled BBQ chicken salad is definitely a good option. Recipe author Angela Muir has listed the ingredients as:

2-3 large chicken breasts

1/2 cup BBQ sauce

4-5 cups mixed greens with spinach

2 hard boiled eggs, sliced

1 red bell pepper, diced

2 green onions, sliced small

1 tomato, diced

1/2 cup of corn

1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese

salad dressing of your choice (I like ranch & honey mustard)
