For the first time in the history of college football, there will be a four-team playoff to determine a national champion.
Four teams: the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Oregon Ducks, the Florida State Seminoles and the Ohio State Buckeyes were seeded in that order in two semifinal games that would take place on the site of the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California and Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The 1st of those two games pit the 12-1 Pac-12 Champion Oregon Ducks against the 13-0 ACC Champion, and defending national champion Floida State Seminoles against each other in the Rose Bowl. Click through for a photo gallery. All images used in this slideshow are Getty Images.
