Sergey Kovalev will be defending his WBO, WBA and IBF light heavyweight world titles against Jean Pascal on Saturday, March 14 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
The fight will be broadcast as part of a triple-header on HBO’s World Championship Boxing at 9:45 PM ET/6:45 PM PT.
Odds of Winning
Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev, who enters the fight undefeated and a favorite in Vegas and online sportbooks, is coming off his biggest fight yet, having shutout Bernard Hopkins in one of the finest displays of the sweet science in recent times. Pascal himself had failed to get to past Hopkins in his two encounters against the cagey veteran.
Canadian Jean Pascal (29-2-1, 17 KOs) was last in the ring against Roberto Bolonti. That fight was controversially ruled a ‘no contest’ when Pascal punched out Bolonti while coming out of a clinch. Previous to that, 32 year-old Pascal had dispatched Lucian Bute, George Blades, and Aleksy Kuziemski since suffering his first career-defeat to Bernard Hopkins in 2011.
