The avid golf fan already knows who Jordan Spieth is.

But by now Jordan Spieth is a household name thanks to his absolutely dominating 2015 performance on the PGA Tour.

In April 2015, he cemented himself into Masters history with a wire-to-wire victory, which was his first major win.

Then a little over 2 months later, Spieth won the second major of the 2015 season — the U.S. Open.

Then he won the Tour Championship and finished the season with $22 million in prize money.

Did I mention he is only 22?

Cheering him on, as she usually does, is his longtime girlfriend Annie Verret. The two met in Texas as teenagers and have been together since.

Here’s what you need to know about Jordan and Annie:

1. Jordan & Annie Are High School Sweethearts

Jordan Spieth and Annie Verret grew up in Dallas, Texas, and began dating in high school. Considering they’re both 22-years-old, it has been a few years. She attended the all-girls Ursuline Academy and he went to the all-boys Jesuit College Preparatory School.

And they even stayed together after going to rival Big 12 colleges.

When Jordan was in high school at age 16, he received an exemption to play in the Byron Nelson Championship in nearby Irving, Texas, and finished in a tie for 16th.

After the Masters victory, Jordan received a kiss from Annie and their photos and story went viral.

Annie was also there for Jordan’s first win of 2016, the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Hawaii, back in January.

2. Jordan Attended the University of Texas

Spieth attended the University of Texas, winning 3 events and leading the team in scoring average as a freshman. His Longhorns won the NCAA title in his sophomore year and Spieth garnered All-America honors. Other collegiate accolades included: the All-Big 12 Team, Big 12 Freshman of the Year and Player of the Year.

Spieth was a member of the 2011 Walker Cup team, which is basically the Ryder Cup for amateurs, and won both of his singles matches.

He turned pro in 2012.

3. Annie Attended Texas Tech University

Annie Verret went to Big 12 rival Texas Tech.

There she was a Dean’s list student, compiling a 4.0 GPA as a business major.

Twice Annie was named to the President’s Honor Roll.

Annie now does charitable work as she is an Event Coordinator at The First Tee of Greater Dallas

4. Jordan Turned Down a Date With Kendall Jenner

Jordan told ESPN he was approached by Caitlyn Jenner, then Bruce, about going on a date with Jenner’s model daughter Kendall.

This was during an outing in California in 2013 and Spieth said — surprisingly — he didn’t know the Jenners were.

But he also turned down the date because of Annie, whom he had been dating since high school.

5. There Has Been No News About an Engagement

Yes, Annie comes to the majority of Jordan’s events. And, yes, they’ve been together for all of their adult lives. But there’s been no talk of marriage, at least that we know of.

But, as mentioned above, they are only 22 years old. They’ve got time and both seem to be rather busy at the moment enjoying life.

Regardless, 2015 has made Jordan and Annie golf’s new “it” couple.
