Is Jameis Winston a lock to be selected first overall in the NFL Draft on Thursday night? The oddsmakers at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark have him listed as the overwhelming favorite to be the top pick in the draft.

Winston sits as the clear -2000 betting favorite to be the first overall pick in the NFL Draft, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers holding that selection heading into Thursday and widely expected to add the former Florida State quarterback to their roster.

Former Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota is then set at +900 odds to go first overall in the NFL Draft, with Any Other Player listed at +900 odds as well. Mariota is seen as a much more likely second-overall selection, with -500 odds to be taken in that spot by either the Tennessee Titans or a team that acquires the selection in a trade.

Winston is at +900 to be taken second overall at the NFL Draft on Thursday night in an upset, with USC defensive lineman Leonard Williams at +700, Florida linebacker Dante Fowler Jr. at +1000, and Any Other Player at +500.

And the oddsmakers expect more wide receivers than running backs to be taken in the first round, with the OVER/UNDER on the number of wide receivers at 5.5 compared to just 1.5 for the running backs. Not a single running back was taken in the first round of the NFL Draft last season, while five wide receivers were selected in the first round.
