WrestleMania 31 was one of the better Mania’s of the past few years. What follows this major event is the PPV filled with special stipulations for several intense Mania matchups – Extreme Rules.

The 2015 edition of this PPV/special event will put the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion in the main event spotlight. His opponent? The man who finished him with an amazing RKO back at Mania 31, Randy Orton. What makes this match so different though is the fact that Orton is banned from using his mots trusted finisher. Also on the card is Roman Reigns taking on Big Show in a Last Man Standing match John Cena putting his U.S. Championship against Rusev in a Russian Chain Match.

Check out our winner picks and matchup predictions for the planned card at Extreme Rules 2015.

Tyson Kidd and Cesaro (c) (with Natalya) vs. The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston) (with Xavier Woods) (WWE Tag Team Championship)

Extreme Rules 2015

Predictions & Winners: NEW DAY…SUCKS! Man, we feel pretty bad about the position Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. They’re all talented, but they’ve been saddled with a gimmick that crowd has no care for. Even amongst the hate, The New Day have managed to become the #1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro have been putting on awesoem matches and showcasing their underrated personalities alongside Natalya since capturing the titles. Both of these teams will compete in a highly entertaining contest since they’ve had good matches before. This one will be hotly contested, but the current tag team champs will retain their titles. Their next challenge will come in the form of The Lucha Dragons.

Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler (Kiss Me Arse Match)

Extreme Rules 2015

Predictions & Winner: That stipulation has us eternally confused. Out of all the cool stipulations that these two men could flourish in, WWE decides to put them in a match where the loser has to kiss the other man’s backside. Sigh…Anyways, mohawk Sheamus made us love him again and when it Ziggler ever NOT awesome? These two will put on a fun affair with several near falls and crowd pop worthy moments throughout. Sheamus is rebuilding his status as one of the more dominant Superstars on the WWE roster. We see him landing that Brogue Kick on Ziggler and forcing him to get down on his knees and do what needs to be done. Even after Sheamus gets what he wants, he’ll lay out Ziggler again just for good measure. We see Sheamus then focusing on grabbing that U.S. Championship once again.

Naomi vs. Nikki Bella (c) (WWE Divas Championship)

Extreme Rules 2015

Predictions & Winner: Everyone’s favorite Diva Paige captured the win during an all-Divas Battle Royal. By winning, she got the chance to take on current Divas Champion Nikki Bella for her coveted title. However, Naomi turned over a new leaf and assaulted the #1 contender and put her on the shelf. Naomi has now taken her spot and will hopefully take her new persona into a championship win against Nikki Bella. We see this match turning out to be surprisingly decent, which is due to how good of a wrestler Naomi has been lately. But we don’t think Naomi will capture the Divas title just yet. Expect some outside shenanigans to transpire and lead to Nikki retaining her championship. This feud will continue into the next PPV and we see Paige getting involved in this championship beef.

Dean Ambrose vs. Luke Harper (Chicago Street Fight)

Extreme Rules 2015

Prediction & Winner: Dean Ambrose’s PPV losing streak is pretty disheartening. And we think Luke Harper is a highly talented big man who should be doing a lot more great things in the WWE. Both Superstars are capable of putting on super physical contests with anyone they come across, which is why we’re looking forward to seeing them face off against each other. Both these guys are fun brawlers who will pull out anything and everything in their extreme Chicago Street Fight. Thy fought to a non-contest weeks prior after Harper dropped Ambrose through a table. This time, there’s going to more than tables involved in this grudge match. We finally see Ambrose breaking his losing streak here…FINALLY!
