The 2015 Preakness Stakes is this Saturday, May 16th on NBC and post time is set for 6:24 p.m. Eastern. The 201 Preakness stakes Post Position Draw concluded at 5:15 p.m. ET on Wednesday.

Here are the Morning Line Odds for the horses competing in this year’s 2nd leg of the Triple Crown:

Post Position: Horse: Morning Line Odds:
1 American Pharoah 4/5
2 Dortmund 7/2
3 Mr. Z 20/1
4 Danzig Moon 15/1
5 Tale of Verve 30/1
6 Bodhisattva 20/1
7 Divining Rod 12/1
8 Firiing Line 7/2

American Pharoah went off as the heavy 4/5 favorite. Both horses that finished behind him in the Kentucky Derby, Dortmund and Firing Line, each went off at 7/2. The surprise of the Derby, Danzig Moon, will go off at a solid price of 15/1. Divining rod who skipped the Kentucky Derby after winning the Lexington Stakes will go off at a nice price of 12/1, too.

Earlier this week, Carpe Diem, Materiality, Stanford and Competitive Edge were all in the mix to run, but were taken out. The Preakness field is still subject to change before Saturday. Heavy will update the field should their be any scratches or changes before Saturday.

Dortmund and Firing Line went off at lower odds than OddsShark had them at the beginning of the week, as did Danzig Moon. Mr. Z was a late, “surprise” entry, although he is still outclassed by the top horses in this race.
