Masters winner Jordan Spieth has closed the gap a bit, but the sportsbooks still have world’s No. 1 Rory McIlroy as the favorite to win the 115th U.S. Open, which gets underway Thursday, June 18, from Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Washington.
McIlroy is at 7/1 just ahead of Spieth’s 8/1 when the latest odds for golf’s second major were released.
Dustin Johnson came in at 16/1, while a trio of pros — Phil Mickelson, Justin Rose and Rickie Fowler — are at 18/1.
Former top-ranked player Tiger Woods has 50/1 odds to win his 4th U.S. Open.
