Ronda Rousey is dominant. She’s also an actress, an author and, she hopes, a multi-award winner at this year’s ESPYs.

In a year that has seen Rousey extend her UFC unbeaten streak and find success as the box office, the California native has established herself as one of the most talented athletes in the world today, in any sport. Here’s what you need to know about the fighter:

1. Rousey Is Nominated For Two 2015 ESPYs Awards

After yet another impressive, and undefeated, performance in the ring this year, Rousey is nominated for a pair of awards the ESPYs – Best Fighter 215 & Best Female Athlete 2015.

Rousey is the only female nominated for Best Fighter, going up against the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Donald Cerrone, Terrence Crawford and Gennady Golovkin. All four men are also listed as boxers while Rousey competes in UFC. On the Best Female Athlete spectrum, Rousey goes up against UConn standout Breanna Stewart, skier Lindsey Vonn and recently re-crowned Wimbledon champion Serena Williams.

2. She Won Best Female Athlete in 2014

Rousey made history during last year’s ESPYs awards, becoming the first-ever Mixed Martial Artist to win an honor at the annual event. She beat out Olympic gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin, UConn’s Breanna Stewart and WNBA star Maya Moore.

The Olympic medalist finished her 2014 season with a 10-0 overall record and had defended her bantamweight title four consecutive times. She knocked out No. 2 Alexis Davis in just 16 seconds leading up to the ESPYs.

3. Rousey is Unbeaten in UFC Competition

Rousey began her competitive career when she was just 17, breaking into the world of judo and becoming the first American woman to medal in the sport with a bronze in the 2008 Olympics. At 22, Rousey changed her direction slightly, turning to Mixed Martial Arts.

It seems to have been a pretty good decision.

Rousey is 11-0 in competition since her debut in 2011 and won the UFC women’s title in just her fifth match, defeating Miesha Tate in 2012. She beat Tate for a second time in December 2013, defending her title.

4. Her Next Fight Is August 1 Against Bethe Correia

Rousey’s next fight, UFC 190,  is slated for Saturday, August 1, against No. 7 Bethe Correia. Both fighters come into the bataweight title match undefeated and match up well against each other.

According to UFC, Rousey lands 3.66 significant strikes per minute while Correia connects on 6.07. However, Rousey’s accuracy is more precise boasting a 63.97 percentage to Correia’s 55.04 percent.

5. Rousey Added To Her Hollywood Resume This Year

When she isn’t busy knocking out her opens in just seconds, Rousey is also taking Hollywood by storm. She appeared in her first-ever feature film last year, joining Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and nearly every action star of the last three decades in The Expendales 3. This year was even better.

Rousey showcased her on-screen talent with roles in Furious 7 as well as Entourage, the feature-length film version of the popular HBO series. She is also set to star in Miles 22, alongside Mark Wahlberg, in 2015.
