Well, the rain has certainly made things interesting. Instead of splitting up the first round of the Little League World Series, a weather delay on Thursday has forced all eight games into one, single-day schedule. That means all baseball, all day. Still, there’s plenty of talent to go around and plenty of story lines to keep an eye out.

Two interesting late-day matchups include an intriguing Tokyo Kitasuna LL squad representing Japan as well as the Red Land LL from Pennsylvania who boast a bit of hometown pride in Williamsport.

Keep an eye out for Red Land in particular, who dominated regional play outscoring opponents 36-to-5. The squad also boasts a strong bat from Ethan Phillips, who racked up eight RBI in two regional victories over New Jersey.

Here’s the full TV schedule for today’s slate of games:

Game 1: Kampala, Uganda vs. Santiago de la Caballero, Dominican Republic, 10 a.m. on ESPN2
Game 2: Pearland, Texas vs. Portland Oregon, 11 a.m. on ESPN
