49ers vs. Broncos: Time, Channel & Line

The Denver Broncos host the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday night in both teams third preseason game. The Broncos enter the game 2-0 in preseason action while the 49ers are 1-1.

Both teams enter the season with new head coaches. After a season of rumors swirling about Jim Harbaugh’s future, the 49ers and the new Michigan coach mutually parted ways at the end of the season. The team hired Jim Tomsula as the new head coach. Tomsula had previously been the 49ers defensive line coach for eight seasons.

For the Denver Broncos, the team decided to move in a different direction than John Fox. They brought in their former offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak in hopes that the move can help the Broncos win a Super Bowl like they did when Kubiak was a Broncos assistant.

Saturday’s game will give both teams and fans alike an opportunity to see the starters in extended minutes. In particular, the quarterback position will be a point of focus. Colin Kaepernick had a rough 2014 but hopes his offseason work can help provide a different 2015. Peyton Manning battled injuries towards the end of last season and Saturday’s game will give fans the opportunity to see if he looks like the old Peyton Manning.
