Before the Tennessee Titans played their ball in Nashville, they were known for over 30 years as the Houston Oilers. Regional rivalry aside, the Texans and Titans have not always played nice.
The most physical confrontation came in 2010, when Texans WR Andre Johnson scored a 10-9 win while boxing Titans CB Cortland Finnegan. The Texans won that game 20-0.
Last season, Titans QB Zach Mettenberger became a national story not for his play, but for a selfie he took prior to his first career NFL start. J.J. Watt, who had two sacks in the game, mocked him via sack celebration and chastised Mettenberger in his postgame interview.
Cue the selfies. Marcus Mariota will miss his second consecutive start with a knee injury, forcing the Titans to go with Mettenberger again this week.
