NBA Power Rankings Week 7

The NBA is getting fun! Or fun-er! Is fun-er a word? It doesn't matter. That's what's happening. The Golden State Warriors streak was snapped, but if we're all being honest with ourselves, that one loss - on the final stop of a seven-game road trip after a double overtime victory the night before - shouldn't really change our collective opinion of the reigning champs. Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs are staying happily under the radar while riding their own run of success while both the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics are starting to make late December moves. Read on as we here at Heavy break down our own version of the league's Top 15. It's going to get fun-er.

15. Houston Rockets

Record: 12-13

The Rockets are surging. Kind of. Houston got back to .500 after a 7-2 run over the past few games that includes victories over squads like the Sixers, Knicks, Wizards and Lakers. So, yeah, the Rockets are winning. But they're also not facing off against the league's top competition. Let's temper expectations, particularly after Monday night's 114-108 loss to the Denver Nuggets, for now and just say Houston has officially returned to the middle of the road. (Getty)
