The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team faces China Wednesday night in an International Friendly.
Since winning the World Cup earlier in 2015, the players of the USWNT have become household names as their jerseys and other gear have flown off the shelves. Online retailers Fanatics and Amazon still have team merchandise, which makes the perfect holiday gift for the soccer fan.
Wednesday’s match also marks the end of the illustrious career of Abby Wambach, the leading scorer in USWNT team history with 184 goals. The 35-year-old forward has been with the national team since 2001 and has 254 appearances.
