Tonic Sol-fa to Sing National Anthem at Seahawks-Vikings Game

When it comes to the national anthem for Sunday’s wild-card matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings, the latter is keeping it local.

Tonic Sol-fa, an a cappella trio that hails from the Minneapolis-St. Paul region of Minnesota, announced that they would be bracing the cold to perform the anthem prior to kickoff:

For the uninitiated, Tonic Sol-fa, made up of Shaun Johnson, Greg Bannwarth and Jared Dove, is one of the more successful independent groups in the country. They’ve produced a handful of albums, sold over two million copies, done television holiday specials on PBS and toured throughout the United States.

If you’re looking for a taste of what to expect Sunday, here they are performing the national anthem in 2012:

Kickoff for the Seahawks-Vikings game at TCF Bank Stadium is at 1:05 p.m. ET, so Tonic Sol-fa should perform just a couple of minutes before that. You can watch coverage at NBC, or if you can’t get to a TV, you can click here for options to watch online.
