It’s a tale of two halves for Arsenal, who came undone in the second half against Messi and Barcelona in a 0-2 defeat.
The Gunners were solid in the first half, conceding possession to Barca but getting chances on the counter. Barcelona didn’t register a shot on goal in the first half, but came out in the second with familiar pressure.
The scoring didn’t come until twenty minutes remaining, when M-S-N took over on the break. Suarez played it out wide to Neymar, who made a long run that drew the final Arsenal defenders. That left Messi all alone in the middle, sending a hard shot past a helpless Petr Cech.
Mathieu Flamini came on as a substitute in the 83rd minute, and in less than one minute he was called for a penalty on Lionel Messi. The Argentine slotted home his second of the match with ease, giving Barcelona a comfortable lead and two away goals heading back to Camp Nou.
