Two of the most prestigious programs in the country, North Carolina and Indiana have combined for 26 Final Four appearances and 10 national championships.

But Friday’s meeting in the Sweet 16 will be their first NCAA tournament matchup since 1984.

The Hoosiers will be hoping history repeats itself, as that particular Sweet 16 matchup 32 years ago saw Indiana knock off Michael Jordan and the No. 1 Tar Heels.

Of course, even without the history, this one has plenty of intrigue. ACC champs vs. Big Ten champs. Yogi Ferrell, one of the best point guards in the country, vs. Marcus Paige, who is sometimes one of the best point guards in the country. Burgeoning star freshman Thomas Bryant up against the most formidable frontcourt in America. Two offensive juggernauts and two teams playing better defense as of late. This one’s going to be good.

Tip-off is scheduled for Friday at 9:57 p.m. ET (30 minutes after conclusion of Notre Dame vs. Wisconsin) on TBS. You can click here for a prediction, or read on for all the betting info, courtesy of OddsShark:
