Mexico vs. Canada: Time, Channel, & Lineup

(Getty)

After losing in front of a sold-out crowd of over 50,000 home fans by three goals, Canada now has the privilege of heading to Estadio Azteca for a rematch against El Tri. Mexico might be the hottest international team on the planet, sitting perfect with three wins and zero goals conceded in CONCACAF World Cup qualifying. Another win tonight would put them seven points clear tonight at the minimum, all but assuring them a spot at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Canada were expected to put up a fight at BC Place on Friday, and things don’t get better away from home. In Canada’s previous three World Cup qualifiers at Azteca, the combined result is 10-0 for Mexico. However, Canada are currently second in the group standings, and still have a decent chance to qualify for Russia with qualifiers against Honduras scheduled for the summer.
