After a 39-game unbeaten run came to an end, Barcelona have just one win in their last five matches. They take a three-game winless streak in La Liga back to Camp Nou today, where they host a Valencia team that could rally after beating Sevilla last week.

It’s also been a slump for Messi, who has been sitting on 499 career goals for almost 499 minutes. It’s actually been 452 minutes, his longest drought since 2010. Messi hasn’t scored or even assisted on a goal in five games, which has surely contributed to his club’s lack of success.

Luis Suarez was suspended for the team’s loss to Real Sociedad, but should be back to his regular spot in the lineup today. The M-S-N trio may have combined for 69 league goals this season, but Suarez leads the trio with 26 of those. Call him what you want, but he needs to start if Barcelona want to regain form.
