Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith, using a nickname, posted a live video to Periscope possibly showing him smoking marijuana.

The 26-year-old former San Francisco 49er is currently serving a one-year suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

The video was first uncovered by CSN Bay Area, which called it “questionable,” but did not confirm that Smith was smoking weed or that it was him in the video. The station did confirm that it is Smith’s Periscope account. The video shows a man, whose face is not seen, talking with a woman while holding a blunt (a hollowed out cigar often filled with marijuana).

According to CSN Bay Area, the video was posted to a Periscope account with the username “ravenga,” which Smith has been using to post live videos and interact with fans for about two months. He also calls himself “Ricky” on the account. The video showing the possible marijuana use was posted in mid-July. It was titled “Fire up session.”

You can watch the full video below (Warning – explicit language):

CSN Bay Area reports that Smith’s account had 29 followers as of Sunday morning, when the station posted it story about the video.

You can read a transcript of the conversation between the man and the woman in the 55-second video below:

Woman: (Slaps the camera) N*gga, I’m not playing with you.

Man: I don’t give a f*ck. Ain’t nobody f*cking with us. We’ve got zero followers (laughing). Where is the ashtray at? This is what you call a fire up session.

Woman: N*gga you shouldn’t even be posting that.

Man: (Coughing while holding blunt) Do you see my face?

Woman: No, but what if…

Man: They don’t have my name. This is just a fire up session.

Woman: So if you just put it on there, it’s just doing it, you’re live? Oh that’s hella stupid.

Man: Shut up, you’re hella stupid. You tryin to smoke fam? Is this the ashtray?

Woman: You ain’t using it no more right? (inaudible)

Man: You’re stupid, you trippin. N*gga they don’t know it’s me. It’s not like I put ‘Aldon Smith’

The video then ends.

Smith’s agent did not comment when contacted by CSN Bay Area, the sports station reports.

Sources told ESPN that the NFL is investigating to determine whether Smith violated the terms of his suspension.

He is eligible to apply for reinstatement in September, 60 days before his suspension ends.

According to ESPN, a suspended player seeking reinstatement must “demonstrate to the league that he has abstained from any substances of abuse during the period of his ban.”

Smith was drafted by the 49ers out of the University of Missouri with the seventh pick of the 2011 draft. He has recorded 144 tackles and 47.5 sacks during his career, which has been marred by disciplinary issues.

He was arrested on DUI charges in January 2012 in Miami.

Smith was arrested again in September 2013 on charges of driving under the influence and possession of marijuana after a single-car accident. He took a leave of absence from the 49ers to enter a rehabilitation facility.

A month later, while he was in rehab, Smith was charged with three felony counts of illegal possession of an assault weapon stemming from a June 2012 fight at his home, where he was stabbed while trying to break up a fight and two other people were shot.

In July 2014, Smith was sentenced to community service, 12 days on a work crew and three years of probation on the 2013 DUI and weapons charges, which were reduced to misdemeanors. He was suspended for nine games by the NFL as a result of those convictions.

Smith was released by the 49ers after he was arrested in August 2015 on charges of hit-and-run, driving under the influence and vandalism. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges, which are still pending.

Smith was signed by the Raiders in September 2015, playing nine games before his one-year suspension was handed down. He signed a 2-year contract with Oakland this April that didn’t include a signing bonus or guaranteed money.

The Raiders have not commented on the video. Smith is barred from participating in any team activities during his suspension.
