Erik Kynard, Jr.
High-jumper Erik Kynard Jr. is participating in the 2016 Olympics in Rio and he is already a silver medalist for the high jump from the 2012 Olympics. He has also championed numerous other competitions. Kynard is 25 years old, stands at 6'4" tall and he jumps from his right foot. According to the Washington Post, Kynard qualified for the finals at Rio this past Sunday with the highest jump at 2.29 meters (7.51 feet), which Kynard cleared on his first try. An initial miss at 2.26 is what kept him from coming in first place, which ended up being a four-way tie. His personal best outdoor is 2.37, while his best indoor is 2.34, as reported by IAAF.
