Chicago came out in full force for a parade that was 108 years in the making. In celebration of the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series, fans stood as much as a dozen deep along the 6-mile parade route.
The Office of Emergency Management and Communications told the Chicago Tribune an estimated 5 million people were along the route. Cubs players enjoyed their victory lap on Friday from Wrigley Field to Grant Park, where the festivities continued with a rally to celebrate the Cubs' historic win.
