As usual the Thursday schedule in the NBA is light, with there being five games to be played with two being shown on TNT. The opening game of TNT’s doubleheader pits the Philadelphia 76ers against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid will play. The team has been cautious with Embiid’s minutes, which is why they decided to sit him for Wednesday’s game against the Washington Wizards. As a result, fans will get to see Embiid match up with Minnesota’s Karl-Anthony Towns.
In addition to Towns Minnesota’s roster includes wings Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine, with Wiggins being one of the NBA’s hottest scorers and the league leader in three-point percentage. The second game of the TNT doubleheader is Chicago taking on Utah in Salt Lake City, with both teams aiming to return to the playoffs after missing out last season.
The best game of the night can be seen on NBA League Pass (for those who don’t live in the Portland or Houston market), with the Rockets hosting the Trail Blazers. James Harden and Damian Lillard on the same court will certainly be entertaining, and one shouldn’t overlook Portland’s C.J. McCollum either.
