Thousands of runners have once again descended upon NYC, as the New York City Marathon returns this weekend. The race, which covers all five boroughs of the city, is considered one of the premier marathons in the world. Last year was the biggest race in the 46-year history of the event with over 50,000 registered runners.

Most run for charity, but some run for glory. The 2015 race was the third NYC marathon swept by Kenyans, as Stanley Biwott crossed the line first for the men and Mary Keitany won her second consecutive NYC Marathon in the women’s division.
