College Football Bowl Predictions 2016: Picks Against the Spread, Odds & Best Bets Week 3

It's the most wonderful time of the year. The holidays may be coming to a close, but we are entering the best week of college football as the most meaningful bowl games take place. Last week, we had a great week picking against the spread going 4-0-1 and 3-3 straight up. We will look for more of the same as we ring in the new year. New Year's Eve features the two College Football Playoff semifinal matchups. Alabama takes on Washington as a 14 point favorite in the Peach Bowl. Clemson enters the Fiesta Bowl as a 3.5 point underdog. Not everyone can play for a national title, but there are additional bowl matchups that offer intrigue. Western Michigan takes on Wisconsin in the Cotton Bowl as the Broncos see how they matchup against one of the best Big Ten teams. Michigan squares off with Florida State in the Orange Bowl in a matchup featuring two historic programs. All odds listed are courtesy of OddsShark and are subject to change. There is a theme in this week's picks of taking the points. There are two metrics that help decide which underdogs to like against the spread. The OddsShark computer picks and SB Nation's S&P+ projections are two great systems that take into account key statistical factors.
