This year, Michelob ULTRA’s commercial, “Our Bar”, shows a place where fitness communities can meet, hang out, and chat after a workout with a low-calorie Michelob ULTRA.
The ad is one of Anheuser-Busch’s four Super Bowl commercials. According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, the company initially said they were going to buy 3.5 minutes of airtime for the big game, but upped that when they decided two of the commercials should run a minute longer. One of the company’s spots for Anheuser Busch follows Budweiser’s founder, Adolphus Busch, as he makes his way to America. To date, the ad has more than 12 million views on Youtube.
The message of the MichelOb ad is: Just because you can’t work out, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a low-calorie beer, according to Today.com.
The agency behind the commercial is FCB Chicago, which was founded in 1873 as Lord & Thomas. The company’s clients include AB InBev, Aramark, Biogen, BMO, Boeing, Choose Chicago, Coca-Cola, DiGiorno, Discover, and many more.
