During an unrelated segment on Monday Night Raw this week, the crowd in Brooklyn, New York referenced the scandal surrounding WWE superstar Paige’s recently-leaked explicit photos.

In the middle of a match between Charlotte and Dana Brooke about an hour into the show, the crowd chanted “We want Paige!” The chant was clearly audible on the USA broadcast and lasted several seconds.

This chant was the first reference to Paige’s photo scandal during this week’s Raw. Over the weekend, the WWE superstar was the victim of a hack and had several nude photos and videos posted online.

The Brooklyn crowd chanted “We want Page” to the beat of the “New Day rocks” chant, presumably because The New Day’s Xavier Woods was featured in one of the leaked Paige videos. Later in the broadcast, The New Day briefly appeared in a backstage segment, and the crowd again chanted Paige’s name. On the show itself, Big E subtly referenced the Paige situation before Xavier Woods quickly moved the segment along.

WWE fans on social media immediately debated whether it was acceptable for the crowd to chant for Paige in this way. Earlier in the day on Monday, Paige’s parents suggested on social media that she is suicidal.

Paige has not been seen on WWE television since June 2016. She has been away due to a neck injury, though she was also suspended twice during that time.
