Bowl Games Schedule 2017-18: Teams & CFB Matchups

Getty Clemson is the top seed in the College Football Playoff.

Today is Christmas morning for college football fans, as you find out where your favorite team is headed to play their bowl game. Additionally, the four College Football Playoff teams are announced as ESPN will have the selection show beginning at 12 p.m. Eastern.

Three of the four playoff teams look to be straight forward. Clemson dominated Miami in the ACC Championship, and is likely going to be the top seed. Oklahoma has been on a hot streak since their narrow loss to Iowa State, winning eight straight games including the Big 12 title game. Georgia got revenge against Auburn in the SEC Championship, and it would be shocking if they are not ranked in the top three.

This leaves a number of teams fighting for the final spot, but Alabama and Ohio State are the most likely suitors. Heavy projects Alabama will be the final playoff team. It is hard to get past Ohio State’s 31-point loss to an unranked Iowa team. While the Buckeyes have better quality wins than Alabama, they also have one more loss. Alabama opened the season against Florida State, ranked No. 2 in the country, prior to their downward tailspin.
