Dolphins quarterback Brock Osweiler
Coming off a huge upset win at home against the Chicago Bears with brock Osweiler leading the charge qt quarterback, the Miami Dolphins (4-2) look to continue the momentum when they welcome the Detroit Lions (2-3) to Hard Rock Stadium as Week 7 action continues on Sunday afternoon.
The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on Fox in select areas (coverage map here). Ryan Tannehill was a late scratch early Sunday morning last week. Because of that, gamblers started hammering the line, which favored the Bears. That didn’t work out so well, as Osweiler and Albert Wilson carved up the Bears secondary.
Tannehill’s future with the Dolphins is reportedly in doubt, according to the Miami Herald. After missing all of last year with a torn ACL, he is expected to miss the next few weeks with this lingering shoulder injury. Not in favor of Osweiler, but there are enough doubts inside the organization because of his long-term health.
Other reports say the Dolphins are open to trading former first-round pick DaVante Parker. The oft-injured Parker has been a disappointment at wide receiver in Miami.
For the Lions, Ziggy Ansah (shoulder) has once again been ruled for Weel 7. The Pro Bowl defensive end has only played 19 total snaps this season, and has had trouble staying on the field throughout his career. Running back Theo Riddick (knee) did not practice Thursday and is questionable for Sunday.
