Dana White says Zuffa is taking a hard-line stance towards people who pirate UFC events, and the company is backing it up with action.
Zuffa filed suit on Thursday in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas against a man they say is pirating UFC events and charging $6.99 for others to watch the stream. The suit alleges that Moazzam Gandu of Stafford, Va. is using his website to offer unauthorized live streams of UFC events that cost $44.95 when purchased through legal methods.
Zuffa’s lawsuit also alleges that Gandu is offering a back catalog of at least 40 past UFC events, and that Gandu is profiting from these events by selling advertising with them.
The lawsuit alleges copyright and trademark infringement, unfair competition and deceptive trade practices.
